The final load for storage. When we came out Tiffany was on the boxes – not to be forgotten…. How could we leave her behind?      After the sweat, and after the Wheel was over. I was pretty tired, but in a very good space.    A view of the wheel from our tent. It was taken before everyone got there, so was very peaceful still.            This was my little buddy Cormac who went everywhere with me. He told me on one of or walks that he wanted to know everything about me. How special he was. He also said to me on the last day as everyone was packing up when I found him crying – “My heart’s broke cause my eye’s broke”. Just one of those things that stays with you for all time……

The Wheel after everyone left. Hard to believe so much had been going on just one day earlier. A very special place, one that will always live in my heart.

We allied this “The Broom closet” due to it’s rather small size. This was where we made our home over the winter months after the wheel. We had yet to figure out where to go, so this beautiful place gave us the time to work things out.        Tiffany finding her own space no matter how tight…..    hawk does not look guilty at all does he?  He looked like this a lot during our travels, always getting into trouble. Here, he just didn’t understand why Tiffany was getting a treat (catnip) and he wasn’t.     The Mendocino Highway. Truly amazing, albeit a little nerve racking to drive. What a view though!!       Camping in the redwood forest, a very special experience. The size of these trees were truly spectacular, I am so glad we had the experience of seeing them.        Lake Shrine in California. This was a special place for Patrick, so we made a special side trip to visit it. Quite beautiful, very serene.    And the main event – Legoland!           It was incredible – everything made out of lego. Can you imagine the man hours  to put all of these kits together. I was really in awe as we walked around. All of these buildings (and the shark) are made out of lego. The designers must have great fun figuring it all out. I wonder how many lego bricks in one building…..    A very worthwhile stop for us all. Lucas had the time of his life.        Then we made our way to Mexico.  Spent a few days only because while it was very quiet when we arrived, we were only days away from the May Long Weekend.        Camping on the beach was a first for me. What a great way to wake up, with the water just outside your door. The sun got us up pretty early though. Our tent was like an easy bake oven.

Next we made our way through the desert – The Valley Of Fire. What a beautiful area. We would have enjoyed a longer visit here to do more exploring, but our funds were limited and we knew we could not stay.        Here’s our truck. It got us there and back, no troubles. A little warm with the three of us crammed into the  front seat. I had an additional fur collar as Tiffany chose to lay on the back of the seat at my neck so she could look out the window. We got some pretty interesting looks from the passers by.      The great expanse of the desert, nothing but space.   Camping at Hoover Dam, me with my morning coffe, always an essential :).    Patrick enjoying a quiet moment on his own.

I think these two were conspiring an escape plan. Neither one of them was used to a leash, but in some places it was necessary. They got along so well , but I don’t think they appreciated being tied up together.  Tiffany trying to figure out how to get off her leash so she can explore. The grass is always greener……..She was great on this trip, quite the adventurer. We lost her once though having to stay an extra night because she did not come out of the bushes until after dark. She got us in a bit of trouble because we didn’t have a spot – the one we occupied had to be given up. But we ended up sharing with some young kids and it all worked out fine in the end. But it sure gave me a scare, I had a panic attack at the thought of losing her.
