Joy

It is a full moon tonight and it is a beautiful spectacle as it sits over the mountain, a view I am able to enjoy from the balcony off my room.

 Isn’t she beautiful!! Well ok its pretty difficult to see the beauty in this particular photo, you will have to trust me that it is truly a beautiful sight.

Here as with the natives in canada, the indigenous people have a full  moon ceremony. However it differs quite a bit because this is a personal ceremony within the family. It is a time when you get together and share any concerns you may have with each other and then having expressed your feelings, you let them go. It is a time of new beginnings within the family and therefor a very important ceremony here. I believe it is a truly wonderful idea to clear the air each month of those little things that may be bothering you so that you do not let them build up into mountains that are so much harder to climb.

For me on this night, I sat in front of the moon and asked for forgiveness for the mistakes made recently, misunderstandings about people and situations that I could have seen differently. I will start tomorrow with a fresh outlook letting the energy of the moons rays fill me with peace and harmony. I also gave my thanks for bringing me here allowing me to follow my heart. Each day that I am here I feel stronger about my reasons for being here and it fills my heart with joy.
