Blue Moon Gift February 28, 1998
This dream was a bit strange because of its twists and turns and events that seem to have nothing in common. But then, my life has also been strange, the many twists and turns taking me places I had trouble comprehending. The path to truth is not always straight and perfect, as I have discovered. One must keep an open mind and a really good sense of humour in order to walk through the maze.
In the beginning I was doing warm up exercises for ballet, and was enjoying the ease with which I was able to perform the jumps, as one can only do in dreams when I suddenly realized I had to get to the movie store, which did not make any sense, but this is where the dream led. While in the store I witnessed a crime, and ended up coming to the defence of an innocent girl accused of this offence.

From there I was transported to the home of a man who had been at the movie store as well. I cannot remember if he was a bystander or one of the police who took me to the house. When we got to his home I was introduced to his children. There were four or five of them and they were waiting in the living room.
Behind where they were grouped was a couch with blankets and pillows. I could see someone lying there, so I asked who it was. They explained it was their sister and she was very sick, just a baby about eight or nine months old. When I walked towards her she began to get excited and reached out for me. Wrapping my arms around her I tried to heal her. The number of children may be important because Che had five children altogether, so perhaps this was an attempt to connect me to his family—they may hold proof of my birth. This would be the representation of the moon.
Then the room seemed to change and the two older girls came in saying to me, “Look what we have for you!” They were indicating that I look towards where the living room window had been. The window was replaced with clouds and through the clouds the moon floated up and hovered in front of me. I reached out for it, admiring its luminous blue-grey colour. I cannot describe the beauty of what I was seeing, but in that moment of great calmness I experienced a deep sense of fulfillment.

At this moment I was awakened by a flicker drumming on the outside of the house. In esoteric literature the flicker represents finding your own rhythm, the beat of your own drum, your unique flow in life. I felt this amplified the concept I was being given, the gift of healing myself, of knowing I possess this ability. The flicker is right, I must learn to listen to my own heartbeat and follow that sound back home to a place and time when I was loved.
The blue moon is also known as the thirteenth moon. I wondered if this was somehow a reference to the Thirteenth Healer?* Perhaps this dream was taking me back to when I was happiest, showing a way to heal my wounds through leading me to a child of similar age, that I must get back to that time. This was the place for me to start.
