My thoughts were swirling this morning which means this must be written out or my mind and body won’t be able to settle.

Yesterday I made a comment about the US being the most powerful country in the world, yet could not provide healthcare for its people, only the elite. In fact they are the only country which lacks in this ability, which is shameful to put it mildly!

They say a chain is only as strong as its weakest link. With this reference in mind, then I submit, a country is only as strong as its weakest link and in my mind government in every country is its weakest link, therefore the US is one of the weakest countries in the world, its dependence on survival based on its ability to bully (with the T-man in charge) its way through every situation.

In truth a country’s true strength comes from its people, the honor of those who work hard each day to provide an honest life for their families – those who keep the country going day to day. Without the people, government has no purpose. If government doesn’t take care of its people on every level, rather only ensures its own safety and comfort, then you show the greatest weakness. If the people are taken care of, if basic needs are met and even exceeded, is war or protecting boundaries even necessary?  Would the need to escape the pain of living in such an unbalanced life need the support of drugs and alcohol? It is government which perpetuates the imbalances we see all around us. It is the unfair distribution of resources, the division of peoples by culture, wealth, religion, color and race which creates the need for war. It is the need to dominate and control resources, not the protection of its people. It is the people who suffer the most time and again for the decisions made by those who never get their hands dirty in the process, yet reap the rewards for the destruction caused. How does destroying lives, homes, hospitals, schools, places of business equate with success or “winning”? In any country, town or city? How does such destruction improve anyone’s life? Can we not put the pieces together to see how the influx of immigrants is due to such devastation circumstances?  Are we really so clueless as not to see the continuous cycle of war creates larger numbers of human beings needing a safe place to live?  And willing to do whatever it takes to seek such safety for their families?  What would you do in their situation?  Would you not want the same? Seriously, this insanity has to stop.

What is power then? True power comes from that quiet place, not heard or seen, but felt. It comes from the understanding we are all here temporarily, challenged with living our life with grace and the strength which comes from doing so. Respect for oneself, the environment and those around us. That is power.

If one percent of the population makes choices for the whole, this is not power, it is dominance, control and greed.  This is the nightmare we are now witnessing in what is supposed to be the most powerful country in the world. Disagree if you care to but, when criticism, angry, hateful words are all that come from your mouth, when decorating a bathroom and surrounding yourself with gold fixtures (even if they are fake) becomes your focus, while those you are meant to protect and serve lose jobs and can’t afford basic living rights, you are soulless. And don’t get me started on his Barbie wife who claims to care about the children…….give me a break. Why is she not a voice for those who were children and are still not getting justice with the Epstein situation?Who is she protecting, that she is unable to stand with those women today? Where has she been while families are being torn apart in her country of residence?  Where is her advocation for the children being forced into the squalid conditions of the detention centres without any support?  Where is her concern for the children left without a parent after the indiscriminate bombings in foreign waters without proof of any crime? Where is her concern for the families who cannot provide basic healthcare and have decent food on the table for their children in this supposed “most powerful country”? She is as soulless as the man she married, she would have to be to stay with him. Take away their money and what is left of them?  Put them on the same street, in the same small house they force so many to live in, and who are they and how much would they be respected? In truth no one respects them now, it is only their money which gives them a voice. They are nothing without the protection of what money affords them and no one would listen to a word they say. They would go unnoticed in the world as they have nothing important to share. They are plastic people living in a plastic world of their creation.
