The Man Following… February 6, 2003
Years ago we had been followed (not in a dream) which is why this dream seems particularly important to me.
I had many dreams about being followed throughout this night, but the last dream was the one that made a deep impression, I suppose because I saw who it was that was following. Not only did I see this person, but I recognized him from the time all those years ago when we were followed in Calgary while shopping, and then again on our way home to Olds.
We were in a hotel room, not sure where. Lucas was with us but not in the room – he had gone out to get something, probably food. We allowed him to go on his own because we thought we were OK, that it was safe, but unfortunately we were mistaken.
There was a knock on the door which we answered, hoping it was Lucas returning. But we were surprised to see a man and woman standing there holding Lucas between them. The woman had her back to us so I did not see her face. The man was facing me and he had his gun pointed at Lucas. Lucas had a bloody mouth so he must have struggled. I wanted to go to him but they prevented me from getting closer.
The man facing us was taller than me but not by much, of stocky build, muscular, you could tell that he was well trained. He was what in my mind was a typical representation of an FBI or CIA agent. He had short curly blond hair with rather a round face. I felt as though I recognized him, he was very familiar ( I felt this way after I woke up as well). The woman was also blonde with shoulder length hair tied in a loose ponytail.
When I awoke I realized why this man was familiar to me, because he was the same man who appeared in another dream on September of 2002. That I dreamt of this same man with so much time in between, and that he bore such a striking resemblance to the man that followed us many years ago cannot be coincidence.
It gives one a very strange feeling to come to an understanding of this kind, knowing it was right to be suspicious. There is a comfort in realizing it was not my imagination running wild, thereby accepting the truth this was a genuine threat. Once you can see your enemy you have a much better chance of effectively fighting back. This is mostly accomplished in your mind, as we have the ability to push away the unwanted, armed with the strength of our thoughts.
