Danger Dream June 18, 2018

It has been a while since I have had a dream that I remember and feel is significant to write about. Last night I had two separate dreams both of which I believe are connected to the book.
The first one involved a rooster and a chicken, but the rooster was most insistent that I pay attention to him. There was not really much about the dream leading up to meeting with rooster that I remember, but I do recall the dream repeating and ending in the same place, but changing the second time. In the first version I saw the rooster, but it was the chicken that caught my eye. The dream ended abruptly as if to put emphasis on the fact that I had missed the important focus which in the second dream was the rooster.

It was a beautiful golden headed cock who I believed was quite old, but no less determined to make my acquaintance. He came up to me and kept trying to fly up into my arms, making sure I was noticing him. I crouched down and was given permission to pet the feathers on his fine head, something I knew was meant as an honour.
The second dream was a bit strange and seemed more about telling me that my life was still being threatened and I must take precautions.
In this dream I was just walking down the street when I saw a car coming towards me on the opposite side of the road. It was a small car, something like the new Fiat or a VW Bug (I am writing this part of the night’s dreams on the 29th of June as I have not had the time to do so before now, so my memory has faded a bit). I think I was about to cross the street to get to my car which was parked on the opposite side from where I was, deciding whether I could make it across before he got to me.
But as I looked at the car the driver began to speed up, so I stopped, wondering what he was doing. He had floored it and so got to me in an instant, then unexpectedly he turned the car sharply narrowly missing me and going behind me onto the sidewalk where I had been standing just seconds before. This frightened me, and for those moments right after I was unable to move for fear I would make the wrong move.

I woke up at this point very aware that I was getting a message to be careful. I was reminded of the time in Prince Albert when a man sped through a red light just as I was about to cross the road narrowly avoiding a hit and run.*
