OMG it’s mango season, what a wonderful time to be here!!! Back in canada when I purchased a fresh mango it would cost about $3.00/mango and it was true luck if it tasted sweet! I gave up once I found the frozen bags of mango at Costco, there was just no point in throwing the money out the window on fresh.
Today we purchased almost 30 mangos for about $6.00 and are they ever delishious. I’ve had 4 already today lol, plus some fresh pineapple which was another fruit I hated to buy fresh in canada. 3 pineapples for $1.00, this is amazing for me, all this wonderful fresh fruit!!
We are getting rain most days now, the rainy season has definitely begun, but it’s quite enjoyable, such a light rain and everything looks wonderful and smells wonderful. I saw the hummingbird bathing in the leaves again this morning, but didn’t have my camera handy, and knew I would not be able to get it in time.
These trumpet like flowers are everywhere here, mostly white in colour, but I did see some yellow ones with an orangey red edge on them. They almost don’t look real. I can’t get over how many blooms are on the tree. I had this idea that the hummingbirds would love these flowers, but I have yet to see one get it’s nectar. The hummers are very busy today in the the other flower bed and making a lot of noise as they fly around the yard. I guess they are energized by the rain and all the new blossoms coming forth.
The corn is getting bigger each day, You can almost watch it growing, I haven’t trie to listen to it grow yet….
Muy hermosa dia!!!!
