There are thousands of chemicals used to make the different scented products bought in stores worldwide. Hundreds of those chemicals are known carcinogens. For some reason, beyond my capability of understanding, our government allows these toxic chemicals to be sold in various products such as perfume, laundry soap, dish soap hand soap, hand/body lotions, shampoo, conditioner, hair gel or spray, and various household cleaning supplies. And let’s not forget air fresheners, candles, plastic garbage bags, toilet paper and feminine products. So many of these products are absorbed by our skin, also our biggest body organ, making us responsible for so many of our illnesses.
We are responsible because every time we purchase one of these products, we are telling our government we are in agreement with them poisoning us. That the government permits the inclusion of these toxins in any saleable product is a crime against humanity. But we must take responsibility for our own actions with each purchase. We give our government permission each and every time we buy anything containing poisonous ingredients, to continue doing so. Why don’t we say no?
We seem to think the government has our best interest at heart, that they make choices which are for the good of the people. In truth, they make decisions which are best for the conglomerates who in turn insure they can rule the country. Our government does not work for the people, but for the corporations which keep them in office. It doesn’t matter who takes the big chair, they are not the boss, only the face of the true leaders of the country – big pharma! Billions are made each year on products which poison our bodies, our land, water and air. Billions is spent on pharmaceuticals, doctor visits, surgeries and testing. We actually pay to become sick as we continue to eat food which has no nutritional content, but builds plenty of fat. We cause our own asthma, heart disease, arthritis, obesity, cancer and many other illnesses because of our purchase choices. All because we choose to believe the idea, if it’s on the store shelf, it must be safe. We simply do not make the effort to question the long term harmful effects of using so many chemicals. Easier to let someone else tell us what’s safe for us. If we don’t look at the problem, it will go away, right?
How do we even begin to source the cause of what our body is going through when there are such a variety of toxins going on or into our systems. Add medications to the mix and you are guaranteed to never solve the problem. As a human race, we have become intolerably fractured in our ability to make wise, well informed choices for a healthy lifestyle. We are our own worst enemies, punishing our bodies in ways completely unnecessary.
So the question which keeps going round and round in my head, is how can we trust a government which knowingly poisons us, to make the best decisions regarding the virus, the vaccinations and the testing? Simple math really……….you can’t, you shouldn’t. But people will because they believe if the government approved it, it must be safe, in the same way they believe round-up is ok to use, tide gets your clothes whiter and brighter, and wearing perfume which can be smelled a block away will attract the person of your desires. Crazy right?
There are times when I have had to leave the door open at the store where I work for 10-15 minutes after someone leaves to get rid of the smell of whatever product they are wearing. If I buy an item of second hand clothing washed in tide or gain, I usually have to give it back to the store, because I cannot get the smell out of the fabric after several hand and machine washings. Scented Feminine products are also difficult if not impossible to remove, especially from elastic or synthetic fabrics. The yoga pants I bought last September can only be worn when I go for my run, not ever for relaxing at home in. Six months later the smell is too strong for me to comfortably wear for any length of time in an enclosed space – I can still get a plugged nose and headache if I try. So one has to ask how strong the chemicals are to ensure they can never be washed out of the fabric. One also has to wonder at the consequences for using these products with such powerful chemicals. If they can’t be washed out of the fabric, what are the effects to our body, having skin contact with these chemicals 24/7? What happens to the land, the water? There is a domino effect, as what is sent through our water pipes finds it way to rivers, streams and oceans, feeding the land, the animals, birds and insects. We live in a toxic world, one we created because we chose to support the decision of every government which has allowed these products to be sold. The question is, will we ever find the strength to stand up and say no more, we’ve had enough and we refuse to accept and contribute to this way of thinking?
What bothers me is not just that someone is making the choice to believe our government, but that they insist I join them in their belief. The shaming tactics which are being applied to those of us who choose differently are inhumane, born from ignorance. If we are not free to choose, to have an opinion, or see a different perspective, then we are no longer living in a free country. And each and every person who assists the government in applying these shame tactics is responsible for taking away the human rights of “we the people”. Personally, I wouldn’t want to have that burden on my conscience.
