Finding Home, Chapter 2, Flower Images

A simple potato flower, yet it is very beautiful. I was so surprised when I discovered what I had been drawing. It was one of the pictures from Ecuador I had been given and I had forgotten to ask what kind of flower it was before our friends left. It took some digging to find it  and I just laughed because I had been thinking it was going to be something much more exotic. It was a lesson in humility to realize there is great beauty in the common and everyday……..
 Orchids, truly one of my favourite flowers, they really amaze me!!
The Happy garden flower that just keeps on giving sometimes even after the first snowfall.
The lotus; a bit of a challenge because it is white, so I had to learn to draw a white flower on white paper. Should be easy, right?
Spring, the beginning of color after a long winter…..
