Well the last time I saw this mural, I thought “what’s left except maybe a few touch-ups?” But here we are…..

The picture doesn’t really do her justice, she is very beautiful in full colour. The detail is fabulous!!! I think all that is left now is the artists stamp/signature.

We walked down tot he square to have an ice cream and just hang out, it’s kind of like being in a giant coffee shop. When we were on our way back we stopped at the  vendor beside the stairs. He was just about to make sugar cane juice so we needed to see that (and of course sample some). Pretty cool set up he had and the juice was not as  sweet as I expected it to be. He added the juice of half a lime so it was like having a limade.

You can see him inserting the sugar cane into the slot, something he does more than once to get all the juice from it and then it comes out the side of th machine into a bucket. Kind of like a giant juicer. Just another cool thing you don’t see every day back home in Canada:)

We had a beautiful light rain while we were people watching, and now the sun is trying to shine, so I shall have to go investigate and see about doing some drawing.

A very different way to spend thanksgiving this year!!
