I’ve been feeling quite depressed, sad and disappointed the last few days. On Saturday, heading to Gull Lake to see a movie with some friends, something was said as our vehicle approached a semi, in order to pass it. My good friend asked if it was a towel-head driving – look but don’t look lol lol. This I believe was the beginning of my depression, hearing such demeaning, racist remarks. Such a horrible way to speak about anyone.

There’s so much anger and hate in the news, it grows each day because of the dictator in the US. There are actually people who celebrate what ICE does, believing they are ridding the country of the worst of the worst. That those wearing masks and carrying weapons have the right to beat and humiliate someone for having an opinion and the courage to express it. Those protesting do so because they understand what they are fighting against and for. Those of the opinion the protesters do not have the right to do so, have yet to experience the the hell of being on the wrong side of a dictator. The thing about a dictator, is they run their world based on how they feel in the moment, they have no moral rules governing them. The more others run around in a frenzy to please them, the better they like it, the more superior and emboldened they feel. So who knows, you could be the next in line to experience the fury of his hate.

Then there are the indiscriminate bombings of boats which they claim carry drugs – where’s the proof? And what happened to due process? On the other side of the world they detained the boat, confiscated the drugs, arrested those responsible for transporting and the world got to see what happens when the country is run by the rule of law, not the whims of an insane person! Did you ever consider that the weapons can and possibly will turn North the next time that buffoon has a two year old style temper tantrum about our country? Or he feels he’s waited too long to have control over our country’s resources (making us the 51st state) and decides to take them by force as he is attempting to do in Venezuela?

How can anyone with a conscience and a heart celebrate the torture of another human being? The inhumane conditions of the detention camps? What happened to your moral compass that you feel this is justice? What does that say about those who do encourage all of this? How can we ever achieve peace, while stoking the flames of racism and hatred making demoralizing comments towards those never met, spoke to or having ever learned anything about the world they come from, heard what they went through to seek a better life? Shame on all of you who think this way. Shame on all of you who use derogatory language to describe another human being simply because you do not understand their culture, lumping a whole race into one category allowing you to hate with purpose. We are human first and before we become a category allowing judgement.

When hate becomes law, you’re under the thumb of a dictator and it’s too late to end it peacefully……..
